Questions for Jeremy

Most of my questions revert to the Old Testament. So here we go:

1. When god was having Moses lead his people from Egypt and Pharoh, Did god harden his heart only to show his power when he drowned Pharoh's army, or to test his faith in Moses and his will?

2. When they had crossed the Red Sea, They wondered in the desert for a long time. While they were in the desert, the people followed their own wills, and began to curse god and moses for leading them to the desert. They complained of not having food or water enough to keep them sufficed. God let them have their wills, and when they complained, he said that not one of them would see the promised land of Isreal. So god let them have their will and when they choose to complain, he killed them and took all they had. Was this God's test for Loyalty, or the test of willpower?

3. When King Saul was king, when he plotted to kill David to stop him from becoming King, did God allow Saul to follow his will since he did not get to follow through due to his son's plan that thwerted his plan to kill David?

and I have more that will come at a later date because at the current moment, they escape me.... lol
