Basically this: wearing an over abundance of black has a psychological effect on people's moods and how they carry themselves. Your clothes are an expression of yourself...just like your music, your social scene, your circle of friends...black tells me you are depressed, lonely, upset, and overall emotional...even when you aren't. There is no joy or happiness in someone wearing all black all the time. It's hard to share the love, peace, joy, comfort and everythign else that Jesus gives you when you are covered in black and hanging out with "dark", depressed people.
My parents used to tell me this stuff and I was like, "you are crazy." now I see the wisdom.
